Plans for the weekend: laundry, dinner out and Chick Flick Club with some girlfriends, more laundry, and maybe a little craftiness here and there.
Looking for some good reads for the weekend? I've condensed a few of my favorite posts I read this week to inspire you and make you smile. Enjoy!
Britt's $8 Laundry Room Makeover
Kate's thoughtful take on what makes a house a home.
Holly from Homebody learned a great lesson from an apothecary jar this week. (And it REALLY helped me later that day!)
I found an "oldie but goodie" over at Hooked on Houses. Julia focused on 10 Ways to Be Happy at Home.
Susie Harris knocked it out of the park with her affordable bath makeover.
Melissa at The Inspired Room is hosting an Inspiring Finds party today...go check it out!
As you can see, several of these posts focused on making a house a home, doing what you can with what you have, and focusing on what's important!

Hi Amanda!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! I always love to hear what other ddna-ers have to say!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out for my post, and for linking to all these others. I've had fun reading them all this morning!
ReplyDeleteI will be home from my trip hugging and kissing my sweet babies and handsome man, and trying to decide what to do with the upstairs bathroom. I wish decorating dilemmas was NOW! I need some help! Of course we will also do laundry, go cheer for Miss Mae's cheerleading, go to Church, have a family pizza night, ride bikes, ...and the list is endless! Too much fun going on at the Brick House to pick floor tiles!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas...off to read them!
ReplyDeleteI'm focusing on house hunting on the internet. (Why do I always fall in love with the $500,000 houses?) Since my house is listed for sale, I am trying to tidy up and clean out. The clean out part is hard for me. I do have some things to go to Goodwill.
ReplyDeleteYou are always so kind to me, thanks friend. I'm priming and painting and old buffet. Exciting, huh ? Have a great weekend !

ReplyDeleteOh goody...I need some inspiration and some fun reads for this weekend! Can't wait to check these talented ladies out.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend...wish I could come to your girl's night! I sure need it.

Made my Goodwill trip today. They gave me a 20% off coupon to shop in the store. Now I can collect more stuff! Darn!
ReplyDeleteI saw some of those posts...they are great! My weekend plans all depend on the weather!

Well....my plan was to clean out the garage. In a matter of 2 hours, though, my weekend schedule was filled with "other things".
ReplyDeleteLike...the birthday party we forgot about from 11-1 tomorrow for one of Pierce's friends. Then, its off to a basketball game for one of his other friends (damn, this kid is popular!).
Then, off to Olde Town Spring for a BBQ contest (yeah, only in TX! The really funny thing, is that my husband got recruited to help a friend with his "booth" and he called tonight saying he has officially joined a traveling BBQ team and they are having T-Shirts made. Name of the team? "Rub Me Tender") *she pukes a little in her mouth* I'm like whatever dude. Just don't try to rope me into your new hobby.
May get to the garage Sunday evening....hopefully!
Cool links - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHaving a great weekend: lunch with friends, mall with my 14 yo daughter, dinner with the husband. Then, tomorrow, my beloved Colts fight for their rightful place in the Super Bow.
ReplyDeleteGo Peyton!
I wish I had half the craftiness of those ladies! We went to the Gasparilla children's parade and fireworks this weekend. It's an annual pirate festival that we have in Tampa and it's such a blast!
ReplyDeletewe did end up taking the kids skiing yesterday. how was the movie??
