Dear Santa Claus,

Dear Santa Claus,

I've learned my lesson. I'm reformed. Really.

Looking back on last year's Christmas list, I can see how asking for a pool boy and a sound proof craft room and a nannie might have been slightly greedy; or ambitious, however you prefer to look at it.

I am most grateful that you didn't stuff my stocking with "dirty sticks and fire rocks" (sticks and coal), as Natalie says. I thought I would humbly send you this year's Christmas list so that your elves will have time to work on things.

1. Martha Stewart's Encyclopedia of Crafts
My more astute readers may recall that this was on last year's list as well. I have been pondering if the reason I did not receive it was because my husband thinks we already have enough crafts around here. But I am nothing if not persistent, so it made the cut again for 2010.

2. Eclipse on DVD
Yeah, I know. I like Fluff, and staring at hunky vampires and werewolves most certainly counts as fluff. Don't judge me.

3. Gift Card to my Nirvana, Hobby Lobby.
To aid future crafty endeavors.

4. The Perfect Pair of Flat Brown Boots
I'm still looking....I don't know if they even exist, but I can't stop the search.

5. A Nikon DSLR Camera
I know this is pushing my luck, Santa, but this would be super cool!

6. Emily Post's Etiquette
I think good manners are becoming a lost art.

7. Anything from Charming Charlie.
I do love it so.

That about wraps it up, Santa. I hope you'll carefully consider my list. I don't feel that I deserve to be on the naughty list, especially after cleaning up barf this week. (But maybe you can forget about how I messed up T's favorite blanket in the washing machine and didn't tell him about it yet?)

Love, Amanda

Come back tomorrow to link up your best post of the week to Weekend Bloggy Reading. Please be sure to link back to me or include my party button in your post.
Weekend Bloggy Reading

(Blogging Question: Is anyone else experiencing trouble with Feedburner? What was originally an occasional problem has escalated into a weekly occurrence that lasts several days. My subscriber numbers yo-yo between 1100+ and go down to 200 or so. My stats have dipped this week and I can't help but wonder if it's because several hundred readers probably have no idea I've posted. This is becoming increasingly frustrating...)

  1. Amanda,

Thought you might like to know what SANTA's email address is...

    Bigfatredguy1967@gmail.com

He is great about answering your Santa list emails...you might have better luck with him than yours since the blanket incident doesn't look promising... :D

Our son is trying to talk dad into filing an appeal with the big guy as he is on the naughty list at the moment and has been for several weeks.

Dad thinks that Santa will be sending an email to us in the next couple of weeks advising us on the situation...seriously, you'll get an email...I actually know the Bigfatredguy personally! :D

    Good luck friend!

  7. I love these boots here...

    http://reviews.dsw.com/2752/210413/ciao-bella-ciao-bella-thabata-boot-reviews/reviews.htm

I have them in black and seriously they are the bestest ever boots! Sooo comfy!

Isn't Charming Charlie the bestest??? I love them! I bought really cute reader glasses there (I'm older than you and need them :( I, also, picked up a watch for my mom there for Christmas. She will love it!

This year, I don't have a list. We decided to only do stockings. We have a house on our life list, hopefully in 2012. I guess, if there is one thing on my list it is for our house in MI to sell for a great price! Dream on!

    Have a great day!!!

  9. I would love the camera and the movie too! I may get the movie, probably not the camera!

I have not been able to view my stats for almost a month now, I don't even try to look anymore.

  12. Hehe.... this made me smile. I asked Santa (and my husband) for a pair of sweater Ugg boots. I'm only 10 years behind that trend. And Netflix. And, I also postluded that with saying that if Santa didn't bring them I would get them for myself. Just a little spoiled I am. ;)

Hope you get everything on your list. Including the camera. You deserve it.

  13. I know I say it all the time but you are so stinking funny. Good luck with your list. I think you've been a pretty good girl but I'm no Santa - ha.

Speaking of vampires, decorating doors and trees for others leaves lots of glitter on my skin. It makes me feel special. Now if I could only run fast (or even walk standing up straight...dang this injury).

    Happy happy! ~C

  15. Just so you know, I don't think there is anything excessive about wanting a pool boy...even if you don't actually own a pool...well, I don't, and I still want the pool boy... :)

  16. Well I sure hope Santa takes your list seriously and gives you the items on your list! And that camera would be cool!!! I know the boots are pushing it because you are the one that has to find them??!! But that is what Santa is for. Doing the impossible!!
    Good luck

  17. I hope that you get everything on your Christmas list, including that camera. I'm hoping that a student will let me borrow their Eclipse DVD for the weekend once they've watched it enough to tire of it. I never got to see it in the theater! Have you seen the MS Craft book in the bookstore? I checked it out of the library and thought that the size and weight of it was awkward. Maybe it was just me.

  18. Haha, I love your list! Especially items 1-3. And they seem like quite reasonable requests. But that camera would be pretty awesome, too!

I love to hear your feedback! Please feel free to leave comments...just don't send me spam asking me to buy stuff off your website! I've got three kids and no money to purchase your magic weight-loss pill or bust enhancement, or whatever else you might be selling. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you! :)
