Friday Favorites Feature ::Weekend Bloggy Reading::

Happy Friday! I have some great Weekend Bloggy Reading for you, but I wanted to put out a few quick requests first:

1. If you haven't entered the Giveaway I'm hosting with The Tattered Flower, please click the Giveaway link and sign have until 5 pm (ET) on Sunday. Major cuteness to be browsed!
2. I am looking for a few GUEST POSTS during Spring break. I'm taking the girls down to NC to see my Nannie after Easter, and this will mean living in the Dark Ages no internet for a few days. If you'd like to write a guest post to be featured here while I'm away, please email me soon. I'm open to anything: a craft, recipe, fashion/beauty post...
3. My Sponsors section is open for business! Please see my advertising page for details on what I offer my sponsors. I feel like my rates are pretty competitive. If you have a fun blog, Etsy shop, or home business that connects with women and/or families, I'd love to work with you!

And now on to the main course, some of my favorite posts I found in Blogland this week:

~Rhiannon's Cupcake Liner Garland. Fabulous, and can easily be altered to fit a bridal or baby shower theme, birthday, holiday, you name it!

~Richella's post on DIY Flower Arranging. Perfect for beginners like me!

~Tausha proved that you can makeover a space without going all Hollywood/Nate Berkus (love you, Nate!) and spending a million bucks. She did a great job on this Garage to Storage room to Mini Bed and Breakfast.

~Beth's Show Me Your Shoes party. So fun!

~Cheryl's Vintage Pom Pom Pillow. This former cheerleader loves anything pom pom!
~Kate's Return to Neutrals in her fab Dining room. {New bench + slip covered chairs + soup tureen filled with flowers= FABULOUS}That's about as good as my math gets. No, seriously.

~Bunnies, Feathers, and Eggs...Oh My! Ashley is ready for Spring.
~Meri made a precious Pillowcase-Style Dress in an afternoon.

This weekend holds a bit of fun! Melissa gave her readers a heads up to Home Depot's Black Friday in March deal, and I am hoping to pick up a few 6 pack annuals for a couple of bucks. Chick Flick Club is going to be at my friend L's house this month...those of us who have been attending the movies decided to go smaller this month and stay in since there isn't really anything in the theater we can all agree to spend $9.50 on.

{Do you have any plans this weekend?}

Have a good one! Happy Weekend Bloggy Reading!

  1. Have fun in NC!

    Visiting from SITS!

  2. Great list of links! I SO need the flower arranging tips. My DH brings home these gorgeous flowers, and I'd love to be able to arrange them in a vase.

    Have a great weekend!

  3. Thank you so much for the linky love, my friend! I appreciate it more than I can say. I'm looking forward to checking out all the things you've recommended--your list is always a good one.

Chick Flick club in-house, huh? I tell ya, it needs to be a good movie if I'm going to pony up $9.50 for it--and that doesn't include popcorn! Hope y'all have a great time.

  4. Where in NC? Drop me a note...maybe we can get together...the kids and I will be in Eastern SC and I don't mind driving to get together with you.

  5. I always look forward to this column every Friday and this one didn't disappoint. Thanks! Off to check out these great finds.

  6. Oh a vacation, how cool ! I'm trying to think of how I can help you out during SB, but I think we may take a trip too - last second sort of thing. I'm going to 'think think think' . . . Thanks so much for the bloggy love. Big hugs

  7. Thanks for the shout out Amanda! You rock! Totally made my weekend!

  8. Totally awesome links!! I am traveling this weekend. A mere 1200 mile trip!! Yikes!!

  9. Hey, Amanda! Sending readers your way today to see your sun/shade in the garden post! :) Have fun this weekend!

  10. Dropping by from SITS...wishing you a wonderful day. Love your blog!!

  11. I love the spring tree! And now I need to go off and check out all of these links you've posted! =-D

My plans this weekend, BTW, include sewing, basking in the perfect weather, sewing, birthday partyin', sewing, getting ready for the new week ahead - and last but not least, sewing. ;-D

  12. Hi Amanda - Just discovered your sweet blog! Not sure when your spring break is, but I'd be open to writing a guest post for you. Check out my site @ and let me know if you still need help. Happy spring!

  13. Hi, Amanda! I'd love to do a guest post if you're not already all filled up! Great links!

  14. Thanks for linking.

LOVE that twiggy tree...I'm definitely making one!

  15. I love these ideas! What a fabulous collection for us readers. Thanks! I'm inspired to go do something creative and quick (before the Easter Bunny arrives). So glad I've discovered your blog (via Penelope Loves Lists).

  16. Enjoy your time away. I was in DC for the weekend. Crazy time to be there with everyone going on, but fun nonetheless.

I love to hear your feedback! Please feel free to leave comments...just don't send me spam asking me to buy stuff off your website! I've got three kids and no money to purchase your magic weight-loss pill or bust enhancement, or whatever else you might be selling. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you! :)
