::Weekend Bloggy Reading:: Link Up!

Welcome to Weekend Bloggy Reading. I'm out of town, but I hope you'll link up your best post of the week today, and maybe leave me some comment love. Please be sure to read my guidelines before you add a link.

All kinds of posts are welcome--recipes, crafts, funny stories, home decor, etc.; but please do not link to Etsy shops, businesses, items for sale, etc. (I have a Sponsors section, if you'd like to Advertise with me.)

Here are a few of my faves from this week:

sources listed below

~Organized Family Drop Spot via Hi Sugarplum

~Painted Built-Ins via Centsational Girl

~Slow Cooker Thai Curry Chicken Noodle Soup via Pig and Paint

~Little Girl's Room via Lakeshore Cottage Living

~And Me? This week featured:

Time to link up your best post of the week!

  • Link back to me within your post. I will not feature your link if you don't link back to me.*
  • No items for sale, shops, etc. and please don't link up the same post week after week.
  • Remember this party is for your best post of the week. Don't link up 10 posts...that's really not in the spirit of this party.
  • Please visit some of the other links--that's how a good blog party works--participation!
*A text link-back (ex- Linking to Serenity Now) is fantastic, but here's the button code if you'd prefer to use that rather than a text link-back:
Weekend Bloggy Reading

Party is open until 10 pm (ET) on Sunday night.

What are you up to this weekend?

I hope to be back tomorrow with some highlights from Weekend Bloggy Reading!

Hey girl!

I was thinking that I haven't linked to this party much lately because I haven't had many posts that really seemed "worthy"--but then I realized that all I have to do is pick my best post from the week, whatever that was, and link it up! Duh. Well, I'm here!

Hope your trip to TX is going well. I pray that, even though the occasion for gathering is sad, that your family can bless one another. Take care!

Love your party Amanda! Thank you so much for taking the time each week to host it and especially giving us new bloggers a place to get our blog some exposure! So sorry to hear of your grandparents passing - that's real rough...I hope all the wonderful memories you have of them will support you at this difficult time. As an Army wife, I am familiar with the sacrifice your Opa gave to serve his country, and I am sure you are very proud of him for that. Your Nannie has a stunning smile! Will be thinking of you in these upcoming weeks :)

This week I posted on the incredible social and environmental costs of eating imported specialty “superfoods” like quinoa, goji berries, etc. Then a post on 10 North American superfoods for great nutrition with low cost and a guilt-free conscience.

Thanks for hosting!!

Several things:

1. I'm sorry about your losses.

2. I'm a Hoosier who has lived in Texas for the last 17 years... but, will never consider myself a "Texan"... although I have birthed a Texan.

3. You have made me call my Grandparents {the ones that are still alive... i.e. my mama's parents}.

4. Now, I am crying.... in love.

Amanda, thank you for hosting the party. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope your travels to Texas are safe. I've linked up a tutorial on how to customize your store-bought curtains and how to make a curtain rod to give your windows a custom look on a budget.
