Is there anything more tantalizing to a three year old and an eighteen month old than a bunch of brightly colored gift bags?
Natalie spotted something right away. "Oh, Mommy! Can we open 'deeze and play with them? Please?"

Seriously? What kind of sister leaves brand-new Barbie and Ken wedding dolls out in the open for a three year old Barbie enthusiast to find?! (Kidding, Alison. In your defense, they were still in a gift bag. But you know they take after their nosy mommy.)

Then I caught Michaela Byrd drooling over Alison's new bread maker, a gift from my own mother-in-law.

"Cake, caaaaake!" she kept repeating, like a zombie.
I didn't know what to do.
So I sat down and drooled with them.
Guess who got a breadmaker for her 8th wedding anniversary on Tuesday?
That's right, Moi.
I'm not feeling so green-eyed anymore, but I can't say the same for Natalie.
Maybe a loaf of fresh baked bread will make her feel better....

ReplyDeleteMmmmmm fresh bread! There's nothing better than that :)
ReplyDeleteI so love my bread machine. I hope you enjoy yours.
ReplyDeleteOoooooh Amanda!! Don't you LOVE your bread machine? I've had mine about 10 years now and I still love it! My daughter used to say "What kind of bread are we having for supper tonight?" implying that we ate nothing but bread. I have since toned it down some. A tip...don't set the timer to make fresh bread for breakfast. You will NOT sleep that last hour because the bread smells soooo good!! lol Happy anniversary!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteOooh, I want a wedding Barbie and Ken! You can bake me some bread too, if you want! Or cake...I'm easy.
