An Afternoon at the Ballet

Saturday afternoon was all about tutus and hairpins and makeup and dance slippers. Michaela Byrd had her last ballet recital at her dance studio; next year it's up on stage with the big kids. The studio owner chose (of course) the darkest, gloomiest room for the recital, so snapping good pics was hard because I wanted to focus on watching my girlie dance. But I did manage to snag a few that I wanted to share today.

And, of course, we end the day with frozen yogurt. Chocolate, peanut butter cups, Reese's pieces, hot fudge. Perfection.

Have you been to the ballet lately?

  1. She is sweet! My girls and I were just laughing about how I used to practically stick the hairpins in their scalp to achieve a tight bun. So many buns for two girls going dance and gymnastics over the years :-)

  2. She is so pretty Amanda! I bet her moves in ballet are just as pretty and graceful! I haven't been to any ballet lately, only piano recitals and plays, but would love to watch one!

  5. She's so adorable! And of course you must end the outing with ice cream, that's required! :)

I love to hear your feedback! Please feel free to leave comments...just don't send me spam asking me to buy stuff off your website! I've got three kids and no money to purchase your magic weight-loss pill or bust enhancement, or whatever else you might be selling. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you! :)
