Spring Bunny Frame Makeover

I'm on an Easter Bunny Makeover kick here lately.

Last year, I found this sorry little frame set in the 50% off bin at Goodwill.
Sadly, it looked better with the rip in the cardboard paper than it did with the half of an Easter egg glued to that side. The original Target price was $9.99, and I scored it for $1...which might not be impressive to you given the condition in that first photo.

My goal was to give that cute bunny a nice Springy makeover without spending a dime.

I started by ripping poor Mr. Bunny right off of that old paper and setting him aside. I chose a pretty, Spring colored paper from a scrapbooking packet I had and glued some to poster board cutouts for stability. Mr. Bunny was hot glued to one side (I promise he wasn't burned!) and I used my "Stretch Your Imagination" Cricut cartridge to cut out a nice "Spring" word. "Spring" was kind of hard to read, so I doodled on it some.

My updated frame, which cost me NADA, has a nice spot on top of the TV armoire. I likes it!

  1. Hi Amanda!

I'm so relieved to know that no bunnies were harmed in the making of this craft.

Seriously, this is really cute. My son would say that you "took it to the next level." :)

I just caught up on your weekend posts. I was hardly online at all this weekend, which is probably a good thing in most respects. I wish the weather had been like this when you were in North Carolina--stunningly beautiful. Oh, well, you'll just have to come back, right?

    Have a great day!

I love to hear your feedback! Please feel free to leave comments...just don't send me spam asking me to buy stuff off your website! I've got three kids and no money to purchase your magic weight-loss pill or bust enhancement, or whatever else you might be selling. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you! :)
