Forgive the iPhone photos, but they still give you a good idea of each space's features. I love visiting IKEA because even if the furniture or layout of the showroom hasn't changed much, there are always a few new things to catch my eye...whether it's accessories, storage ideas, or a small decorative piece.
I like the reds, grays, and blacks in this family room. It also incorporates a kids' art center in with the decor without screaming "hey kids!" on the side.
A gallery wall is a great spot to showcase kids' artwork or cherished family photos, and the wall shelf underneath is space for more display, or you could use tea cup hooks underneath for more storage.
I love all the storage options and the design of this white wall unit, but I am in. love. with the gray chair!
Some more nicely-planned living and dining spaces:
There's always time for some Mary Poppins, right?
Storage and Organizing Ideas:
-Combo Bar and Island-
-Awesome for kids' art supplies-
-This mini cabinet would be so cute to hold Legos!-
Studies and Bedrooms:
Kids' Spaces:
-Share a bedside table with storage underneath-
Accessories:
Phew...was that enough inspiration? I know my brain was a little overloaded with ideas when I left. Oh, to have the cash to back up all my "wants!"
I did come home with a few fun things: 3 RIBBA frames, some bins for our Expedit, a faux potted plant, and an adorable white planter:

I love IKEA for their kitchen ideas and the coffee in the cafe is fabulous. It's raining today and tomorrow, so a trip there might be in store for me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your trip!!
ReplyDeleteWOW the library/office nook makes me want to drool. I wont be able to convert my little one's playroom for a while, but when I do...
ReplyDeleteI was there the other week and bought a Ribba frame and a wall light for beside my son's bed...and swedish meatballs, yum!
ReplyDeleteI mostly shop for something that has something to with organizing or storaging. Great selections and solutions to help daily life. Me like!
ReplyDeleteI miss IKEA, thanks for taking me on a tour. Living in a place where the nearest IKEA is 300++ miles away, really sucks sometimes. :-)I used to love hunting for all the kids stuff there - they're cool and pretty affordable. With how fast our kids grow, spending little goes a long way. :-)
ReplyDeleteI just love IKEA, it's my go to place for affordable all types of home furnishings and organizing. I just picked up their TERJE wood folding chairs for $17 each in December for extra seating needed during Christmas dinner.
ReplyDeleteI remember when you did this post last year after your trip. Ooooooo the fun and excitement that place brings:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Amanda! It's been awhile since I've been to IKEA & they've got some cute stuff!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the tour. I love IKEA but don't have one near us. So it's nice to tour it virtually.
ReplyDeleteWe actually don't have any IKEA's around here but I'd so LOVE to visit one sometime..looks amazing! I LOVED the tree photo in the one pic..definately my style! And that gray chair was pretty awesome too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your Ikea photos for those of us who don't often get to go. I've been looking on their website for shelves and may try to go to the store soon to see them in person. I'd also like to see some of their curtains.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that gray chair too! All these pictures make me want to load up and drive to IKEA! I think we may be passing by one next month...I may have to do some sweet talking to convince Jason to stop in though:)
ReplyDeleteThe layout in that first living room is fabulous! So practical and yet pretty too. I also love that world map with lights above it! Need to find a way to work that into our next house. Thanks for sharing--I've only been to IKEA once. Too far away!
ReplyDeleteI love most of it, but the one thing that really caught my eye was the black/grey/white tablecloth or fabric in the one kitchen and again in the bedroom & studies section. I wonder if our store has it...I'll be checking for it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome post, Amanda!
Followed your link at your party!
Debbie :)
The grey chair is awesome. And I love that long white dining table. IKEA is so overwhelming for me. But they have some great stuff. And I'm particularly thinking I need that wheeled storage for future Legos.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I wish I lived near an Ikea!! Is the white wall unit only available through a store? I can't find it on the website...
ReplyDeleteI can use a few tips to decorate my home officespace, hope it would be nice.
