If you're posting the same project the second (or more) week in a row, or you just threw something together tat you're not particularly proud of, it might not be the best week to link up.
Also, if the party has a theme, like "boy crafts" or "Mother's Day" you shouldn't be linking if your post doesn't fit the theme.Carolinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13260960388442525043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4550079205854272848.post-22190536321418041932012-04-11T19:01:10.781-04:002012-04-11T19:01:10.781-04:00Great post Amanda! Most won't feature those participants that didn't follow the rules!Karen The Graphics Fairyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12110168439001937113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4550079205854272848.post-39397064358116382012012-04-11T18:48:07.567-04:002012-04-11T18:48:07.567-04:00Loving this series and as always, looking forward ...Loving this series and as always, looking forward to next week :) I pinned ya to one of my boards. When I first started blogging...it was articles such as this that helped me become more informed to "blog etiquette" and what link parties were. I was like a sponge...and, I'm still new (4 months now); but, I still love reading these articles. I feel we can never stop improving ourselves and encouraging others. Thank you so much!Erin @ Chronic Christian Crafterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03888220805164398910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4550079205854272848.post-62574637667618398862012-04-11T16:32:59.186-04:002012-04-11T16:32:59.186-04:00Another week with great tips for party participant...Another week with great tips for party participants. It seems to me that they can be a win-win. But I think maybe we should all think about joining a blog party only when we have time to remember the Golden Rule. We should treat our hostesses and the other party guests as we would want to be treated.

As a new hostess, I must say that I do appreciate it when someone links up a post. After all, they had to visit my page in order to link up, right? But what a big difference it would make if they would also include a link back to my blog and if they would leave me a comment!

I know that, despite our best intentions, we often fall short of being able to do all that we intend to do. But I wonder if we'd be better off to participate in fewer parties and apply the Golden Rule to the ones in which we do participate.

You're providing food for thought, that's for sure! Normally, I try to make a point to go back and take a look at their blog as well. Since I am still fairly new I am still in the process of working on my projects page but agree it will be very helpful.Krystle @ Color Transformed Familyhttp://www.colortransformedfamily.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4550079205854272848.post-685692182531501052012-04-11T11:15:55.623-04:002012-04-11T11:15:55.623-04:00I really agree with you about making sure you have...I really agree with you about making sure you have time to participate, and I usually try to leave a comment when I follow a link. It's just nice. :) I also try to let them know what linkup party I found them from, because I'm always curious about that when new people find me!Erica {let why lead}http://letwhylead.comnoreply@blogger.com
