Have you ever had a sense of déja vu, the feeling that you've experienced something before at another time?
I dressed Michaela Byrd in this cute little number one morning, and just loved the outfit.
For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why I thought her outfit was just so darn cute on that particular day. When she started to dance around the Kitchen, that's when it hit me....
"The sun'll come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrooooow, there'll be sun...."
My siblings and I watched that movie about 45 times during every visit we made to our grandparents' house in Northern Virginia when we were growing up...until they recorded a soap opera or something over it. (They used to record over stuff all the time. In fact, we only saw Annie because they recorded over our beloved The Wizard of Oz. Our parents had to tell us ahead of time so we wouldn't mourn for too long)
You'd think after memorizing the entire movie and knowing each step that each dancer would take, I'd sort of remember the costumes.
All she needs now is a Sandy.
Already ahead of you....
My brother and his wife adopted their dog, Boone, on the same day Michaela Byrd channeled Annie. I think it's a match made in heaven.
I think I'll send them up to Broadway to audition. Michaela Byrd's singing skills rival those of her big sister.
Natalie better watch out..."it's a hard knock life," after all.
Oh, how cute! And thanks for getting that song stuck in my head ... LOL
ReplyDeleteOh how cute...you know Allison, my daughter played Annie at her junior high....that was great fun. Now I've got several of the songs stuck in MY head, too.......but it's fun to look back on. MB is such a cutie!

ReplyDeleteMy parents took me to see it in the theater when it came out WAY back in the day...and I kept singing "Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow," over and over till they wanted to strangle me! :)
Michaela is such a cutie pie in that outfit!

ReplyDeleteOh my...I love it. You just need to set her hair in those pink foam rollers and make her hair all kinky curly and you've got yourself an Annie.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that is adorable! You need to get her a red, curly wig and your Halloween costume is set! I love PF Changs lettuce wraps...
